The purpose of this conference is to enhance knowledge of the learner in the area of evidence-based cancer care with the end result of improving the quality of life of the cancer survivor. Medical and health professionals will present on a wide variety of topics including cancer and sexuality, mammography quality, disparities in primary care systems, cancer registry, oncology rehab and physical therapy, genetics and hereditary cancer, lung cancer screening, life after surgery – recovery and reconstruction, and promoting a smokefree Missouri.

Health care professionals involved in the care of people with cancer, regardless of setting or practice specialty, are encouraged to attend along with those interested in organizing or participating in a local smokefree initiative.   Continuing education credits for Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Social Workers, Registered Dieticians, Dietetic Technicians and Mammography Technologists have been requested.
